Editor's Review
Walking into the Dollar General in Saginaw, MI, feels a bit like stepping into a neighborhood hub. Many shoppers appreciate the everyday low prices and the range of products that can be found on the shelves. As Tavey Campbell shared, 'I really like this place. It's convenient, I find what I want and more.' There’s a sense of familiarity and community here that makes it stand out, especially in a smaller town like Saginaw.
Yet, while the store has its loyal customers, not all experiences mirror Tavey’s positivity. Some reviewers have voiced concerns about staff behavior post-remodel. Zyxel noted, 'the new staff they hired are rude and disorganized,' which certainly raises some eyebrows. It's a reminder that even the best spots can face challenges when change is afoot.
Another recurring theme is the store's commitment to community service, particularly in literacy and education. This dedication resonates with many locals who appreciate a business that gives back. However, as Andrea Thane pointed out, 'They do not treat employees good,' highlighting a concern about employee welfare that some shoppers feel should be addressed. This is where the balance lies: while the prices and convenience are appealing, the treatment of staff is something many customers aren't willing to overlook when deciding where to spend their dollars.

It is Dollar General!!! They do not treat employees good and we all know that... The prices are more expensive than locally owned places. Shop where employees are treated right to send a message!!!!!!
This Dollar General was very nice, the new staff they hired are rude and disorganized. Ever since the remodel I dont care to spend my money here, they let go the manager that always was a joy (usually what happens after a remodel).
Truck driver friendly. no trailers no overnight parking. Truck drivers love Dollar General. Good deals. Just down the street easy access to freeway.
