Editor's Review
Family Dollar in Providence, RI, has been a staple in the community since 1992, showcasing a family-owned charm that resonates with many locals. Customers appreciate the store's competitive prices, especially on name-brand snacks and discount groceries. As one shopper mentioned, "It's good for cheap holiday cards and novelty things," which highlights the store's appeal for budget-friendly seasonal items. The weekly inventory updates every Tuesday keep the selection fresh, making it an attractive stop for regular shoppers.
However, not all experiences at this location are positive. A number of reviewers voiced concerns about the cleanliness and organization of the store, with comments like, "This one is just cluttered and cramped," pointing to the need for better upkeep. Additionally, some customers felt uncomfortable due to the treatment they received from staff. One reviewer lamented, "They like to bother paying customers trying to falsely accuse them of stealing their product after purchasing items." This reflects a troubling trend that could deter potential customers.
Despite these challenges, Family Dollar maintains a loyal customer base. Many locals have formed friendships with the staff, as noted by Michael Smoot, who described the store as his "home store". This one is just cluttered and cramped. If you can find what you're looking for then good for you. It could use some more organization. Nothing terribly memorable from this store. Goid for cheap holiday cards and novelty things.
