Editor's Review
Walking into the Dollar Tree in Los Angeles can feel like stepping into a treasure trove of everyday essentials. With an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5 from over 380 reviews, it’s clear many shoppers appreciate the variety this one-stop shop offers. As Angela Wells-White raved, ‘I was able to get some great children's learning books and AWESOME licorice!! Yummy!!’ This enthusiasm isn’t without reason; the store stocks everything from party supplies to cleaning products, all at affordable prices.
However, not all experiences have been as rosy. Some customers have voiced concerns regarding stock levels and customer service. For instance, Linda Holliday lamented, ‘Management passes the buck and corporate does nothing.’ This reflects a recurring theme among shoppers who feel that while the store has potential, it often falls short. It’s a puzzling contrast, how can a place with such great value also leave customers feeling neglected?
Overall, Dollar Tree stands out for its affordability and regular influx of new items, making it a valuable destination for families and small businesses alike. But, as many reviewers noted, the inconsistency in stock and sometimes lackluster service can dampen the shopping experience.

Why Dollar Tree stuff cost so much for $1.50? It's $1.50 plus 9.75% tax and they tax on the total too! So you have 5 items why is it like $12 when you leave? Then when you visit a store the frozen food freezer it's always empty. It's not the employee...

Bulk orders placed are often not there because the store sells customers orders. Management passes the buck and corporate does nothing. The selection of merchandise is dwindling and I expect the stores to close soon because of poor customer service. ...
This Dollar store has a full array of items that start at a $1.25 and up. I was able to get some great children's learning books and AWESOME licorice!! Yummy!!
I live around the corner from this Dollar Tree and this Dollar Tree never has nothing. Then I go to the one on LA Brea off of Centinela where the old Post Office used to be and that has a lot more stuff than the one on Slauson does.
